Guardiola wants to replace Rodri with Wharton

Manchester City's head coach Josep Guardiola has revealed who he plans to replace Spain's midfielder Rodri Hernandez with. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Fichajes, Guardiola is a big fan of Adam Wharton, the main midfielder of Crystal Palace. The coach believes that the English player can ideally fill Rodri's position at Manchester City.

However, the "Citizens" will have to compete with Manchester United for Wharton, as the "Red Devils" also intend to seriously sign this player. In the 2025/26 season, the midfielder appeared in ten matches across all competitions.

Although 21-year-old Wharton has not scored any goals, he has provided one assist. The coach and club management are working to complete this transfer.

Despite his young age, Adam Wharton is attracting attention with his performance on the field and is expected to bring great benefits to the team in the future.
