The names of three football players nominated for the "Gentlemen of the Year" award have been announced. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This award is given by the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda," and candidates are selected based on several criteria. Among them are the players' attitudes towards opponents, referees, fans, and media representatives, as well as leadership qualities within the team.
Notably, Eduard Spertsyan, a player from the "Krasnodar" team, was excluded from the competition. This decision was made recently due to his use of offensive language towards an opponent.
As a result, the finalists for voting are Andrey Mostovoy from "Zenit," who received 20% of the fans' votes, Hamid Agalarov from "Dinamo" (Makhachkala) with 19%, and Stanislav Agkatsev from "Krasnodar" with 17%, reports "KP Sport." The award will find its new owner by the end of November.
This competition aims to appreciate not only the players' performance on the field but also their manners and leadership qualities within the team. Therefore, the nominees are footballers who stand out for their personal virtues.
This prize serves to strengthen respect and friendship in the football world.
