After the matches of the 8th round of the Uzbekistan Super League, another coach was forced to leave his position. This time, Anvar Berdiyev, the head coach of Guzor's 'Shortan' team, was dismissed.

It should be noted that in the match that took place yesterday, 'Shortan' hosted Samarkand's 'Dinamo' club at home and missed the opportunity, losing 1:3. This defeat led to the management's patience running out.

It was natural for 'Shortan's' results this season to come under criticism in any order. The club management analyzed the current situation from all angles and decided to terminate the contract with Anvar Berdiyev, who had been managing the team. This was officially announced by the press service of the 'Shortan' club.

Looking back at Anvar Berdiyev's tenure at 'Shortan', the specialist took over the team in May 2023. One of his main achievements was leading 'Shortan' back to the Super League at the end of 2024 after a long 7-year hiatus.

However, due to the failures this season, serious problems within the team, and the insufficient effectiveness of the playing style, Berdiyev was forced to leave his position.

Currently, the team management is actively working on appointing a new coach. An official announcement regarding who will be invited as the head coach of 'Shortan' is planned in the coming days. The team's fans hope that with the arrival of a new coach, the results will improve and 'Shortan' will maintain its position.
