«Barcelona» lost 0:4

The first leg of the Spanish Cup semi-final was tough for the Barcelona team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The match against Atletico Madrid ended with a score of 0:4. This result raised many questions around the team.
After the game, Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick shared his thoughts and clearly explained the situation. According to Flick, the team was unable to demonstrate its distinctive style of play in the first half.
He emphasized that the team could not operate as a unified mechanism, the distances between the lines were disrupted, and most importantly — pressing was lacking. The coach called this 45-minute performance a “costly lesson” for the team.
Because in big matches, even small mistakes lead to significant losses. Atletico, on the other hand, stood out with their activity in this regard, their desire to score goals, determination, and fight for every episode.
Nevertheless, Flick noted that in the second half, the team’s play somewhat recovered and tried to find itself. However, the 0:4 defeat cannot be a consolation for the fans.
Still, the coach emphasized that there is a chance in the return match. In his opinion, if the team wins 2:0 in both halves, it is possible to change the overall result.
However, for such a comeback, the team will need support not only on the field but also from the fans in the stands. Flick expressed that he is not dissatisfied with his team; on the contrary, he is pleased with the overall results shown throughout the season.
He admitted that difficulties arose due to injuries but did not use this as an excuse. The coach said that defeat should be accepted as an integral part of football.
He also emphasized that the team is young, but this cannot be an excuse either. According to Flick, conclusions must be drawn and the opportunity fully utilized by fighting until the end.
The return match will take place on March 3. This game will be not only a chance for Barcelona to reach the final but also a test of character.
In football, the greatest successes often come after the toughest defeats.
