Patrik Evra: "The generation of footballers has completely changed"

Former Manchester United player Patrick Evra shared his thoughts on the generational differences among footballers and the changes in club discipline. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by *euro-football.ru*. According to Evra, in the past young players took pride in cleaning the boots of big stars.
He explained it like this: “Back then we used to say: ‘God, I am cleaning the boots of Ronaldo, Keane or Giggs!’ and we were happy. If you ask today's youth to do that, they would call it slavery.
It’s not their fault, because we give them everything ourselves. The upbringing and parents' approach have also changed.” Evra also emphasized that a strict environment was normal in his time.
In his opinion, if Sir Alex Ferguson criticized a player as harshly today as he did back then, that player probably wouldn’t come to the next training session. Evra said about this: “Can I blame them?
No. Because it’s a different generation,” he commented.
Currently, Manchester United is in fourth place in the English Premier League standings.
