Nodirbek Abdusattorov won bronze at the Freestyle World Championship

The Freestyle World Chess Championship was held in Germany, and at the end of the competition, along with the expected results, there were also joyful events for us. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Norwegian chess legend Magnus Carlsen once again became world champion, while Uzbek chess player Nodirbek Abdusattorov won the bronze medal and returned home with a great victory. In the final match, Magnus Carlsen defeated the US representative Fabiano Caruana with a score of 2.5:1.5, securing his 21st world championship title in his career.
This is another success for Carlsen, who once again proved that he is superior to his rivals with his experience and skill even in a complex format like Freestyle. Two chess players represented Uzbekistan in the tournament.
The greatest attention was drawn to Nodirbek Abdusattorov. In the match for 3rd place, he defeated Germany's Vincent Keymer with a score of 2.5:1.5 and won the bronze medal.
This result brought him a prize of 40 thousand dollars and also granted him a ticket to the 2027 Freestyle World Championship. This achievement not only marks today's success but also opens a great opportunity for the future.
Additionally, another Uzbek chess player, Javohir Sindarov, also participated in the competition and took 8th place. Although he lost to the US representative Levan Aroyan, he was awarded a prize of 10 thousand dollars.
Since the Freestyle format is a competition that does not forgive any mistakes, this result is not bad either. In conclusion, Magnus Carlsen became world champion once again.
However, for us, the main focus is on Abdusattorov's bronze medal and his qualification for the 2027 championship. The Uzbek chess school has once again proven that it is becoming stronger on the international stage.
