Capello: "Ronaldo is great, but not a born genius"

Kapello:
79-year-old Fabio Capello sparked discussions in the football world. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The experienced coach, who previously managed Italian clubs and the Russian national team, shared his opinion about Cristiano Ronaldo. His words were widely discussed on social media.

This was reported by euro-football.ru. In an interview with The Touchline, Capello said: "Ronaldo is a great scorer, no doubt about that.

But I have not seen in him the innate genius like Messi, Maradona, or the Brazilian Ronaldo." According to him, some footballers reach great heights through hard work, willpower, and physical preparation, while others show a unique "magic" on the field due to natural talent. Ronaldo continues his career in Saudi Arabia at the age of 41, scoring many goals and maintaining a high physical form.

He is a five-time Ballon d'Or winner and has played for the world's strongest clubs throughout his career. Undoubtedly, Ronaldo can be an example to everyone with his discipline and hardworking nature.

He stands out for strictly controlling his diet, recovery, and training. Capello described Ronaldo as a "machine."

According to him, Ronaldo is skilled at scoring goals from long distances, with his foot or head. However, these achievements are the result of years of hard work and self-improvement.

When citing examples of natural geniuses, Capello especially highlighted Maradona, the Brazilian Ronaldo, and Messi. Maradona would take the ball from his own half and leave opponents behind one by one.

The Brazilian Ronaldo would confuse defenders with his speed and movements. Messi analyzes the field like a chessboard and can foresee several moves ahead.

Capello said he is not criticizing Ronaldo but only trying to explain the difference between the concepts of "great" and "genius." In his opinion, Ronaldo performs his role excellently but is not among the players who fundamentally change the game.

For this reason, Capello does not equate him with natural talents like Messi, Maradona, or the Brazilian Ronaldo. Capello's views naturally make many people think.

He is not belittling players but rather highlighting different aspects of football.
