The 39-year-old central forward Olivier Giroud may leave the French club Lille at the end of the current football season. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This information was reported by the L’Equipe publication. Additionally, euro-football.ru has also confirmed this information.

According to sources, the Lille club has not made a firm decision to continue cooperation with the experienced player. Giroud's current contract is valid until June 2026, but it is emphasized that the likelihood of extending the agreement between the parties is low.

Olivier Giroud started his career at Lille last summer. During the current season, he has participated in a total of 20 matches in the French championship, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist.

Currently, after the 22nd round of the Ligue 1 competition, Lille is in fifth place in the standings with 34 points. Although the club's overall results are considered positive, the club management has not made a definite decision regarding Giroud's future.
