The Secretary General of the Mali Football Federation, Sidi Bekaye Magassa, commented on the planned friendly match against the Russian national team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He also specifically noted that this friendly match will be included in the FIFA ranking and the match result will count towards ranking points. The match is scheduled to take place on March 27, 2024.

However, it should also be noted that Russian national teams and clubs have been banned from international competitions since February 2022. Therefore, the Russian national team is currently only participating in friendly matches.
