Sami Khedira: Habi Alonso was a strong coach

Sports08:52, 25-02-2026

Former midfielder Sami Khedira, who played for Madrid's "Real" club, shared his thoughts about the team's former coach Habi Alonso. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by euro-football.ru. The Spanish specialist Habi Alonso took the position of head coach of "Real" club last summer.

However, he could not work in this position for long and was dismissed in January of this year. According to Sami Khedira, he regrets that Alonso was not given more time.

He said about Alonso: “Habi Alonso is a very strong coach. His talent and approach to work are at a high level.

I believe that he will soon prove himself at another top European club and achieve great success. But sometimes the main problem for a coach is that the players are not fully ready to follow the coach's principles.” As a reminder, Alvaro Arbeloa was appointed as the head coach of "Real" club in place of Habi Alonso.
