Messi could have also played for the Spain national team

Forward Lionel Messi revealed that during his career he could have played not only for Argentina but also for the Spain national team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by euro-football.ru. According to Messi, when he started playing for the "Barcelona" club, this issue was discussed and he was offered to choose the Spain national team.

This opportunity arose because Messi moved to Barcelona at a young age and received his main football training at the club's academy. Nevertheless, Messi did not change his choice and has always supported the Argentina national team.

He emphasized that his heart has always been with his country. It is known that Lionel Messi won the World Cup title with the Argentina national team in 2022.

This event became not only one of the significant achievements in his career but also in the entire history of Argentine football.
