Rinat Dasaev evaluated Matvey Safonov's performance

Legendary goalkeeper Rinat Dasaev shared his opinion about Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov's performance at the French club “PSG”. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Safonov has been playing in the team's starting lineup for seven consecutive matches. This was reported by euro-football.ru.

According to Rinat Dasaev, if the “PSG” coaches trust Safonov, it means his performance meets the requirements. Nevertheless, Dasaev noted that he has not consistently followed Safonov's games and that it is difficult to give a detailed assessment based on specific episodes.

Matvey Safonov joined “PSG” from Russia's “Krasnodar” club in the summer of 2024 for 20 million euros. In the 2025/2026 season, he participated in 11 matches and conceded 12 goals.

At the same time, his goal remained untouched in four matches. These statistics indicate that he is finding his place in the team.
