Kafanov: Goalkeepers' success depends on character

The goalkeepers' coach of the Russian national team, Vitaliy Kafanov, emphasized that character plays a significant role in the successes of Matvey Safonov and Nikita Khaykin. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. The Norwegian club "Bodø/Glimt," where Nikita Khaykin plays, has reached the Champions League round of 16 for the first time in its history.
Matvey Safonov, meanwhile, will play at this stage with the French club "PSG." The "PSG" team is currently leading the French championship.
According to Kafanov, such results are connected to the spirit of the Russian people. He believes that historically, Russian people possess qualities such as rushing to help and rescue, and these traits are especially evident in goalkeepers.
The specialist shared these thoughts with the "Match TV" channel. Additionally, Kafanov singled out the young goalkeeper Daniil Khudyakov, who plays for Austria's "Sturm" club.
Speaking about Khaykin, he said he considers him a player developed by the local goalkeepers' school.
