Vitaliy Kafanov, the goalkeeper coach of the Russian national team, emphasized that the sporting successes of Matvey Safonov and Nikita Haykin are connected to their unique mentality. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. It is noted that the Norwegian club "Bodø/Glimt," defended by Nikita Haykin, has reached the Champions League round of 16 for the first time.
At the same time, the team "PSG," where Matvey Safonov plays, is also participating at the same stage and is leading in the French championship. According to Kafanov, these achievements are not accidental; on the contrary, they are linked to the historically strong spirit of rescue, assistance, and striving for heroism in the Russian people.
According to the coach, these qualities are very important for goalkeepers and play a crucial role in achieving success in sports. Additionally, Kafanov gave special recognition to Daniil Khudyakov, who plays for Austria's "Sturm" club.
Regarding Haykin, he noted that he is a product of the Norwegian goalkeeper school, emphasizing the role of the local football system in this regard.
