
One of Uzbekistan's most famous and beloved football stars, Maksim Shatskix, who won the hearts of all fans with his outstanding performances for the national team, has been appointed as the new head coach of the 'Andijon' football club. This was announced by the club's official press service.
It should be noted that after the previous head coach of the Andijon club, Aleksandr Khomyakov, resigned from his position, the club's management quickly began searching for a worthy candidate for this important role. After several days of intense negotiations, the club officials and Maksim Shatskix reached an agreement, and the experienced specialist took over the team's management.
It is no secret that Shatskix's playing career has left a significant mark in the history of Uzbek football. He is recognized not only in Uzbekistan but also on international stages as a high-level forward. However, after ending his playing career, Maksim Shatskix began to show his potential as a coach and achieved notable success in this field as well.
Maksim Aleksandrovich's initial steps in coaching began in 2016 with the youth teams of Kyiv's 'Dynamo'. He initially worked with the U17 team and later with the U19 youth team, sharing his knowledge and experience with the younger generation of players.
From June 2017 to August 2019, Maksim Shatskix was part of the coaching staff of the main team of Kyiv's 'Dynamo' under Aleksandr Khatskevich, where he demonstrated his high coaching potential and gained significant experience.
From December 2019 to March 2021, he worked effectively at the Russian club 'Rotor' (Volgograd) alongside Aleksandr Khatskevich, once again showcasing his unique approach and knowledge as a coach.
In the summer of 2022, Maksim Shatskix's return to Uzbekistan created a great stir in the country's football. He initially started working as the sports director of the 'Pakhtakor' club, later taking on the head coach position, during which the 'lions' team won the Uzbekistan championship twice, earning great applause from fans. Until that time, Shatskix had been working as an advisor to the club's chairman at 'Pakhtakor'.
A specialist with the highest UEFA category — Pro license, he will now work to improve the prospects of the 'Andijon' club and elevate it to the top ranks of the national championship. Maksim Shatskix will officially start his work at the new club on May 14, and his debut match will take place on May 17 against the 'Shurtan' team away.
