
We are pleased to share the good news from our young athletes from the United Arab Emirates. The Uzbekistan national team achieved another significant success at the WT Taekwondo World Championship held among cadets in Fujairah, UAE. In decisive and uncompromising matches, our compatriots secured another gold and a bronze medal, raising our country's flag once again.
In the -65 kilogram weight category, Nikita Bibikov entered the arena and advanced to the finals by defeating all his opponents at every stage of the competition. In the decisive final match, he defeated his strong Iranian rival Amir Agamohammadi, and our young athlete was awarded the gold medal.
Additionally, Rayhona Asanboyeva, who showcased her skills in the -41 kilogram weight category among girls, also achieved a high result. She overcame several strong opponents during the competition and reached the semifinals. In a tough semifinal match, Rayhona missed her chance and was awarded the bronze medal, adding another important trophy to the Uzbekistan national team's account.
So far in the World Championship, the Uzbekistan national team has won a total of 2 gold and 1 bronze medals, securing respectable positions in the tournament standings.
Sports experts have highly praised the results of Uzbekistan's young taekwondo athletes in this world championship, emphasizing the attention given to this sport in our country and the high potential of the younger generation.
