Villarreal defeated Elche to rise to 4th place

The match held at the "Ceramica" stadium ended with a 2:1 victory for the home team. During the match, Villarreal players took control of the game.

In the 31st minute of the game, Villarreal defender Tejon Bukenan managed to open the scoring following a corner kick. Ten minutes later, Santiago Mourinio scored another goal, doubling the home team's advantage.

In the second half, Elche tried to correct the situation and in the 82nd minute, Andre Silva scored a goal, reducing the difference. However, the visitors were unable to restore balance until the end of the game.

Following this victory, Villarreal increased their points to 54, solidifying their 4th place in the tournament table. Elche remained in 17th place with 26 points.
