Barcelona will not return Messi even if he gives permission

The controversy surrounding Lionel Messi's failure to return to "Barcelona" in 2023 has intensified. Zamin.uz reported on this matter.
The club's former sporting director, Mateu Alemany, confirmed Xavi Hernandez's statements and revealed that the club had obtained permission from La Liga to bring back the Argentine footballer. This contradicts the official statements made by president Joan Laporta and La Liga head Javier Tebas ahead of the elections.
goal.com reported on this matter. Alemany, who currently works for "Atletico," was active at "Barcelona" from 2021 to 2023.
In an interview given ahead of the Champions League, he stated that Xavi's emphasis on how events unfolded was entirely true. According to Alemany, Xavi told the truth and it was confirmed that permission had been granted by La Liga to the club.
Previously, Xavi had accused Laporta of ruining an almost completed transfer. He emphasized that the management had indicated a "green light," but later all proceedings were canceled.
Laporta, however, denied these accusations and stated that the former coach was becoming a victim of political games ahead of the elections. According to Laporta, the transfer did not take place not due to a ban by the management, but because contact with the player's representatives was lost.
He stated that he had offered a contract to Jorge Messi in May 2023, but Jorge's son chose the "Inter Miami" club, not wanting to remain under pressure. La Liga head Tebas also added that the league had never granted financial permission and there had been no official inquiry.
Ahead of the elections taking place on March 15, presidential candidate Victor Font is using this situation to demand full transparency from the club. Font, supported by Xavi, emphasized that the current management is trying to hide their mistakes behind the successes brought by young talents and Hansi Flick.
He also expressed hope that Messi will tell the truth regarding this matter. Source: goal.com
