The German specialist did not hide his lack of full satisfaction with his players' actions on the pitch and admitted that the footballers have not yet fully revealed their true potential. In particular, mistakes in ball control and a lack of composure in the attacking line became the coach's main points of criticism.
As Flick emphasized, during the match the team lost possession cheaply in many situations, which not only disrupted the attacking rhythm but also created favorable opportunities for the opponent to launch quick counter-attacks. According to the coach, although the number of created chances was sufficient, in decisive moments the players lost precision and calmness.
Nervousness and disorganization on the field hindered the team from finding its distinctive style of play. At the same time, the German coach did not overlook the opponent's strengths either.
