The International Football Federation has approved a series of innovative measures aimed at accelerating the game and reducing instances of time-wasting. These updates primarily serve to provide fans with an exciting and dynamic match experience while maintaining a competitive level of player performance.

According to the newly introduced regulations, players being substituted off or leaving the field must vacate their positions promptly. They are given only ten seconds to clear the field.

If a player fails to adhere to this deadline, one minute of penalty time is added against their team. In such cases, the incoming player must wait near the sideline and can only join the game after the specified time has elapsed.

Simultaneously, a strict five-second limit has been imposed for taking throw-ins. If the ball is not put back into play within this timeframe, possession rights are awarded to the opposing team.

This rule is crucial for preventing a slowdown in the pace of play. The procedure for providing medical assistance has also been revised.

A player who sustains an injury on the field and requires medical attention must leave the pitch immediately after play resumes. They are required to wait at least one minute before rejoining the match.

This measure prevents artificial stoppages during the game. Furthermore, the system for monitoring referee performance via video replay has been significantly expanded.

Now, decisions regarding second yellow cards and corner kicks will also be reviewed via video if a clear error is made by the referee. These measures are designed to align football with modern requirements and maintain the quality of top-tier matches.
