Eron Responds to Drone Attacks on Citibank Branches

The results of the latest military exercises conducted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran have attracted significant international attention. Zamin.uz reported on this.
The organization officially took responsibility for the strikes carried out using drones against Citibank branches in Dubai and Manama, the capital of Bahrain. These actions are being assessed as a direct response to previous attacks on Iran's own banking system.
According to Ali Muhammad Naini, a representative of the Guard Corps, the attack on bank offices belonging to the United States is a measure aimed at stopping the enemy's aggression against Iranian financial institutions. According to his warning, if such a situation arises, all branches of US banks in the region may become legitimate targets in the future.
The attacks were carried out in connection with an incident that took place on March 11 in Tehran. According to Iran International news agency, the Sepah Bank building in Tehran was hit by a missile attack and suffered serious damage.
The Wall Street Journal, in its article, emphasized that this bank is an important financial institution involved in paying salaries to employees of Iran's security forces. This situation indicates that the tension continuing in the region is intensifying further.
Financial institutions becoming targets means that combat operations have entered a new phase. Iranian officials are stating that they are ready to expand retaliatory measures if threats to the banking system continue.
These processes pose a serious threat to political and economic stability in the region. Source: One.uz
