The winners of the national cup in judo were determined in Termez

The national judo cup for youth, held over three days in the city of Termez, featured intense competitions in many weight categories. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the end of the competition, the Tashkent team took first place in the overall medal count. The matches were held in a school gym specialized in martial arts.
A total of 541 promising judokas from Karakalpakstan, all regions of Uzbekistan, and the city of Tashkent participated. The number of participants and the level of competition across weight categories indicated the broad development of youth judo in the country.
The last day of the competition was especially notable for determining medalists in the heavy weight categories among men and women. The Tashkent team secured first place with four gold, seven silver, and five bronze medals.
The capital's athletes achieved success in the overall standings through consistent results rather than just individual victories. In the team standings, the Samarkand region took second place with three gold and one bronze medal.
This result showed their strong potential for the championship. The host Surxondaryo region completed the top three with two gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
Competing on the home tatami brings additional pressure along with local fans' support. Surxondaryo team's leading positions are a vivid example of their collective strength and skill.
In the men's up to 100 kg weight category, Samarkand representative Jafar Jumayev claimed the championship. Tashkent judoka Javohir Khaytaliev took second place, while Musurmonkul Ahrorov and Bukhara's Alisher Rasulov earned bronze medals.
In the over 100 kg category, Surxondaryo's Iskandar Mamayusupov won the title, delivering an important victory to the host region. Qashqadaryo's Nursulton Nosirov took second place.
Bronze medals went to Andijan's Samandar Yunusov and Tashkent's Muhammadjon Khurramov. The women's heavy weight categories also featured many outstanding performances.
In the up to 78 kg category, Samarkand's Elnora Salimova won the gold medal. Tashkent's Nafisa Asamatdinova settled for the silver medal.
Bronze medals were awarded to Khorezm's Shoira Aminova and Surxondaryo's Nodira Eshpulatova. In the over 78 kg category, Surxondaryo's Charos Abdullaeva claimed the championship.
Her compatriot Dilbar Nazarova took the silver medal. Bronze medals in this category went to Tashkent's Yulianna Shubladze and Khorezm's Kamola Solieva.
The competition results clearly demonstrated the development of judo among youth. This lays the foundation for Uzbekistan to achieve even higher results in judo in the future.
