European leagues meet to simplify the VAR system

The Union of European Football Associations plans to convene representatives from the continent's top leagues for a special meeting in the near future. Zamin.uz reported on this.
The main objective of this important meeting is to discuss the extent and effectiveness of using the video assistant referee system. According to information, the event will take place after the conclusion of the World Cup and will be chaired by Roberto Rosetti, head of the UEFA Referees Department.
Representatives from leading clubs are expected to attend, including those from the English Premier League, Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A, Germany's Bundesliga, and France's Ligue 1. Organizers aim to implement a single and simplified approach across all of Europe.
This new system is intended to be used only for correcting clear and obvious errors. In an interview last month, Roberto Rosetti emphasized the need to avoid excessive and microscopic interventions in football.
According to him, if video review is applied correctly, it will become an integral part of football. However, currently, the incorrect or excessive use of this system in certain situations has led to controversies among fans.
The main hope for the upcoming meeting is that fairness on football pitches will be further strengthened in the future and the number of disputes during matches will decrease significantly. When uniform rules are established for all teams and referees, players and fans alike will strengthen their confidence in match results.
Thus, through its new decision, the Union of European Football Associations is taking a serious step aimed at ensuring transparency in football. This news was announced by Sky Sports.
