In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff, Manchester City's main striker Erling Haaland did not take the field against Real Madrid due to injury.
City's head coach Josep Guardiola explained the reasons why the Norwegian forward could not help his team in a tough match.
- Before the game, Erling tried to train. Haaland had been injured in the match against Newcastle.
The medical examination showed that there was nothing dangerous. However, Erling felt pain in his foot while walking and going up and down the stairs. Before the match, he came to me and said he was not feeling well and was not ready for the game against Real, - said Josep Guardiola.
