Nigina O‘ktamova won a bronze medal in Bangkok!
The international boxing tournament held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, has reached its decisive stage since May 24. Today, exciting and competitive matches are taking place in the semi-final round of the competition.

In the -57 kg weight category, Nigina O‘ktamova, representing our country, faced the host Thai boxer Punrave Ruyenros in the ring. In a fierce battle that lasted three rounds, both boxers gave their all, but the judges awarded the victory to the host athlete — Ruyenros.

O‘ktamova demonstrated great courage and resilience during the fight, not backing down until the last seconds. Her movements, punch accuracy, and activity in the ring were positively evaluated by fans and experts. However, due to a small margin in the points score, she could not advance to the final.

At the same time, Nigina O‘ktamova concluded the competition with a bronze medal. This result is regarded as her next success on the international stage. For the young and promising boxer, this achievement undoubtedly lays the groundwork for even greater accomplishments in the future.

It is worth noting that this competition in Bangkok will continue until June 1. Our other representative, Aziza Zokirova, is expected to face Ukrainian boxer Karine Airapetian in the ring. This match is also anticipated to be a high-level clash.

The Zamin.uz editorial team congratulates Nigina O‘ktamova on her bronze medal and wishes her great success in future competitions! Follow all the news during the tournament on our website.
