Iran championships suspended to focus on the national team

Uzbek football specialist Alisher Nikimbayev provided information about the serious changes taking place in Iranian football. Zamin.uz reported on this.
According to him, the Iranian championship will not be resumed this season, and all primary focus is being directed toward the national team's preparation. Relying on his sources, the specialist stated that his colleagues in Iran confirmed that plans to continue the championship have been canceled.
Now, the country's national team will officially begin its preparation process for the World Cup starting this Saturday. The initial stage of preparation will be held within Iranian territory.
It is not yet clear exactly which city the training camps will be in, but the team is planned to undergo special preparation exercises for three weeks. During this period, the main emphasis will be on improving the players' physical condition and getting them into game shape.
In the next stage, the Iranian national team is expected to travel to Turkey. A second camp will be organized there, with international friendly matches planned.
This measure serves to ensure that the team prepares as thoroughly as possible for the World Cup. At the same time, various rumors previously circulated about boycotting the World Cup have now lost their significance.
It has become known that the Iranian national team has made a serious decision to participate in this prestigious tournament. This decision also directly affects Uzbek football players.
Odil Hamrobekov, Rustam Ashurmatov, Oston O'runov, Igor Sergeyev, and Jaloliddin Masharipov, who are active in the Iranian Pro League, will no longer take the field for their clubs until the World Cup begins. In conclusion, the situation in Iranian football has taken a serious turn: the domestic championship has been stopped, and all resources have been directed toward the goal of the World Cup.
Now, all the attention of the football team is focused on the big stage. Source: One.uz
