Arsenal reached the semi-finals by defeating Sporting

As part of the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, London's Arsenal hosted Sporting Lisbon at their home stadium. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

During the match, both teams played very cautiously, and no goals were scored until the end of the game. Although the match ended in a zero-zero draw, the minimal victory in the first leg allowed Arsenal to secure a place in the semi-finals.

The aggregate score was one-zero, and the Gunners successfully advanced to the next stage of the tournament. Looking at the match statistics, it can be seen that Mikel Arteta's pupils achieved a significant advantage in terms of ball possession and number of attacks.

The London representatives controlled the ball for fifty-five percent of the game and launched a total of fifteen shots. However, the host team experienced some difficulties regarding the accuracy of their attacks.

Only one of the fifteen attempts was accurately directed toward the goal area. Sporting, in turn, launched nine shots, but only one of them was dangerous.

Arsenal executed eight corner kicks and organized many series of active passes. Despite this, the main part of the game ended scoreless.
