Barcelona and Hansi Flick have reached a long-term agreement

A verbal agreement has been reached between Spain's Barcelona club and head coach Hansi Flick to extend their cooperation until 2028. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the team management intends to sign a long-term contract with the German specialist. The club administration plans to include an additional one-year clause in the contract for the 2028-2029 season.
The activation of this clause will depend on the sporting results achieved by the team. If the specified targets are met, the agreement will be automatically extended.
Under the current contract, Hansi Flick's tenure at the club is set to continue until 2027. However, the coach is in no rush to sign a new document.
In his opinion, it is advisable to make such an important decision based on the results of the season. Currently, Barcelona is seriously fighting for the championship in the Spanish top league.
The team sits at the top of the table with a nine-point lead over its closest rival. The coach has focused all his attention specifically on improving these results.
Flick wants mutual trust and clear plans with the club management. He understands that decisions made in haste could lead to problems in the future.
Therefore, work related to official documents has been temporarily suspended. Thus, Barcelona's future and the issue of team management have become one of the main events to be awaited until the end of the season.
