Florentino Perez admitted a mistake in the change of head coach

Information has appeared in the media that the head of the Spanish club Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, has admitted that he made a mistake in his decisions regarding the change of the head coach. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In his opinion, the change of coach was not made at the right time, and this had a negative effect on the club's subsequent activities. Xabi Alonso left the position of head coach on January 12 after losing to Barselona 2:3 in the Spanish Super Cup final. Alvaro Arbeloa was appointed in his place.
According to the newspaper "ABC", Perez had wanted to dismiss Alonso earlier, that is, at the beginning of December, after losing 1:2 in the match against Celta. However, the club's general director Jose Angel Sanchez advised against making this decision hastily. As a result, timely measures were not taken, which made Arbeloa's job more difficult.
Perez emphasizes that he values Arbeloa's work and treats him with respect, but he is not planned to be kept as head coach in the next season. In his opinion, neither Alonso nor Arbeloa has been able to achieve the high results expected from the team. The club's leader admits that the team is playing better than in the last two seasons, but believes that a world-class coach is needed for real success. Therefore, during the summer transfer window, the coaching issue is also expected to be deeply studied.
At the same time, no major changes are planned in the team's lineup. The main focus is on strengthening the central and right-wing defense, as well as the midfield. Real is currently considering a number of transfer options for the future. In particular, the possibility of returning Nico Paz from Como and Viktor Munoz from Osasuna is being studied. The return of Endrick, who is on loan at Lyon, is also planned. Some young players, including Franco Mastantuono, may be sent on loan, while Gonzalo Garcia is likely to be sold to another club with a buy-back clause.
Currently, Real is in second place in the Spanish championship with 73 points after 32 rounds. The team is 6 points behind Barselona, however, the Catalans have played one match fewer.
