Uzbekistan's young stars are moving to Braga on loan

Reports have surfaced that two representatives of the Uzbekistan youth national team — Sadriddin Khasanov and Sayfiddin Sodikov — have the opportunity to move to the Portuguese club "Braga" on a one-year loan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The talented youngsters are being trained by the "Bunyodkor" and Odil Ahmedov football academies. Currently, they are playing for the "Andijon" club under a loan agreement, but this contract may be terminated prematurely.
The Portuguese club intends to sign them on a full-time basis in the summer of 2026, after the players turn 18. This will certainly serve as the first step into European football for these young talents.
"Braga" scouts observed them during the U-17 World Cup held in Qatar and subsequently invited them to the club. Khasanov and Sodikov trained with Braga's U-23 team for two weeks and earned the recognition of the coaches.
The agreement also includes a buy-out option. The price for Khasanov is set at 250,000 euros, while for Sodikov it is 300,000 euros.
If the transfer takes place, a five-year contract will be signed with both players. Additionally, "Bunyodkor" and the academy will receive a certain percentage share from any future transfers.
This serves as an additional incentive for local academies and strengthens the efforts to train young talents. If all conditions are met, these transfers will pave the way for young Uzbek players to test themselves on European pitches.
This, in turn, opens the door to new opportunities for our country's football. One.uz
