Uzbekistan U-17 National Team Begins Training Camp in Saudi Arabia

The Uzbekistan youth national team has commenced the final stage of preparation for the upcoming Asian Cup. According to Zamin.uz, our U-17 players are currently conducting a training camp in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
The team's primary goal is to reach peak physical and competitive form for the prestigious continental tournament. One.uz reports that the preparation process is systematically organized, with the coaching staff paying close attention to every detail.
Head coach Sergey Chigodaev elaborated on the progress of the preparations. According to him, the sessions initially began in Tashkent, where the first phase focused on improving the players' physical condition.
Training was held twice a day, with morning sessions dedicated to endurance and strength exercises. Additionally, a specialized psychologist was brought in to stabilize the young players' mental state, as psychological readiness is considered a vital factor for victory in major tournaments.
In the next phase, the team moved on to developing technical and tactical maneuvers. The coach emphasized that all work is proceeding according to the pre-established plan.
Fortunately, there are no serious injuries among the squad members, and everyone is fit for duty. Upon completing the training in Taif, the team will head to Jeddah, the host city of the competition.
Control matches are also scheduled as part of the preparations. Specifically, the youth team will test their strength against the hosts, Saudi Arabia.
Sergey Chigodaev spoke highly of the upcoming opponent, noting their strong technical capabilities and individual skills. Past encounters suggest that playing such an opponent will be highly beneficial for testing the team's true condition ahead of the Asian Cup.
As a reminder, the Uzbekistan youth national team will play its first match of the tournament on May 6 against North Korea. Fans and experts have high expectations for this talented generation.
