Chicago Fire Abandons Pursuit of Robert Lewandowski

The American club Chicago Fire has dropped its plans to sign Robert Lewandowski, the striker for the Poland national team and Spain's FC Barcelona. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Earlier, there were reports of the American team's serious interest in acquiring the experienced forward. However, according to the latest information from Goal.com, the club's management has reconsidered the transfer.
Lewandowski's current contract with the Spanish club expires in June this year, which is why the player has long been linked with Major League Soccer teams. Nevertheless, Chicago Fire representatives decided to halt negotiations regarding the Polish star's transfer.
This decision came as a surprise to many fans, as an experienced player like Lewandowski would undoubtedly strengthen the attacking line of any team. The main reason for the management's decision is cited as the excellent form of the team's current center-forward, Hugo Cuypers.
Club officials prefer to maintain the existing squad and utilize internal resources rather than searching for a new striker and committing to a large financial investment. Consequently, Lewandowski may have to look for another team to continue his career during the summer transfer window.
While there is currently no specific information regarding his next destination, interest in him from clubs on other continents remains high.
