Nodirbek Yakubboev Wins International Online Chess Tournament

Uzbekistani grandmasters have once again demonstrated their high potential on the international online chess stage. According to Zamin.uz, in the recently concluded prestigious Freestyle Friday tournament, our compatriot Nodirbek Yakubboev delivered an exceptionally confident performance, securing first place ahead of all competitors.
This success once again proves the global strength of the Uzbek chess school. During the tournament, Nodirbek Yakubboev participated in a total of eleven rounds, managing to score ten points.
This result earned him not only the championship title but also a cash prize of four hundred US dollars. Looking at the tournament standings, it is evident that our compatriot maintained a stable and high level of play throughout the competition.
He won almost all of his matches, settling for a draw in only a few instances to maintain his lead. The battle for a spot in the top three was intense.
Second place went to Indian chess player V. Pranav, who accumulated nine and a half points, while the third spot was secured by American Hans Niemann with nine points.
It is worth noting that the participation of world-renowned and experienced grandmasters such as Fabiano Caruana highlights the prestige and high level of the competition. Winning among such formidable opponents is a significant achievement for Nodirbek Yakubboev.
Additionally, another talented representative of our country, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, also tested his skills in this international competition. Based on the results of eleven rounds, he scored seven points and occupied the thirteenth position in the standings.
Although Shamsiddin showed skill in games against some strong opponents, maintaining consistency in overall results proved somewhat difficult. Nevertheless, his participation serves as an important learning experience for Uzbek chess players.
