Alvaro Arbeloa dissatisfied with refereeing in match against Betis

Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa expressed sharp dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions in the recent La Liga match against Real Betis. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the match held on Friday night, the Madrid side let the victory slip away, losing crucial points in the title race. This result negatively impacted the team's standing in the league table, significantly reducing their chances of fighting for the gold medals, according to Goal.com.
The final minutes of the encounter were extremely intense and filled with controversial situations. In the 94th minute, Hector Bellerin scored the equalizer for the hosts.
However, seconds before the goal, a controversial incident occurred: former Manchester United player Antony brought down Madrid defender Ferland Mendy, but the referee did not stop play. Real Madrid players insistently demanded a VAR review, but the officials decided to allow the goal.
Following the match, Alvaro Arbeloa strongly criticized the actions of the referees and VAR officials during the press conference. The coach emphasized that there was a clear foul on Mendy by the opponent before the goal, which was obvious.
Arbeloa stated that those making such critical decisions must have a deeper understanding of football rules and the spirit of the game, noting that unfair decisions undermine the team's hard work throughout the entire season. After this draw, Real Madrid trails leaders Barcelona by eight points.
If the Catalans win their next match, the gap could widen to eleven points. With only five rounds remaining in the season, the title race is considered practically over for Arbeloa's men.
Now, the Madrid side will have to focus on performing honorably in the remaining matches.
