Southampton to Wear Special Kit Against Manchester City

Southampton have decided to forgo their traditional red and white colors for their crucial FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City. According to Zamin.uz, the team will take to the pitch at the legendary Wembley Stadium in a specially designed yellow kit.
This attire was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their 1976 FA Cup final victory over Manchester United, which remains the only major trophy in the club's history. This was reported by Goal.com.
Reflecting the brightest moment in the club's 141-year history, the jerseys do not feature players' names, serving as a tribute to the traditions of that era. Head coach Tonda Eckert hopes this lucky kit will inspire his players to new triumphs and a miracle on the pitch.
Under the German specialist's leadership, the Saints have consistently worn this yellow kit in cup matches this season, successfully knocking out strong opponents like Arsenal and Fulham in previous rounds. Eckert emphasized that the team must show great courage in the uncompromising match against the Premier League leaders.
The coach added that while winning in the lower league builds confidence, the opportunity to compete on equal terms with the country's top teams gives the players even more strength and motivation. The Football Association (FA) supported the club's initiative and granted special permission to use the historic kit in the semi-final match.
Approximately 36,000 Southampton fans are expected to attend the thrilling encounter at Wembley. Many supporters have already purchased limited-edition commemorative shirts featuring the signatures of the 1976 winning squad.
Should Eckert's side emerge victorious, they will face either Chelsea or Leeds in the final to compete for the trophy. This match has captured the football world's attention not only for the stakes involved but also for its revival of historic memories.
