Frank Lampard Responds to Reports of Chelsea Return

Coventry City manager Frank Lampard has addressed the speculation regarding a potential return to his former club, Chelsea. According to Zamin.uz, the London club legend emphasized that his primary focus remains on the success of his current team.
Under Lampard's leadership, Coventry City secured the Championship title and earned promotion to the English Premier League. Following the dismissal of Liam Rosenior, rumors of a third stint at Stamford Bridge for Lampard circulated on social media and in the press, as reported by Goal.com.
Since his appointment in November 2024, Lampard has achieved remarkable results, winning nearly 50 out of 80 matches and successfully returning the club to the top flight. At a press conference ahead of the upcoming match against Wrexham, the manager strictly denied all rumors linking him to Chelsea.
With a contract running until June 2027, he is currently focused on championship celebrations and planning for the next season. Reflecting on the situation at his former club, the 47-year-old specialist acknowledged that Chelsea is an integral part of his life and career but stated he is fully committed to his current role.
He expressed pride in being Coventry's manager and enjoying the historic achievement with his team. He noted the difficult period at Chelsea but maintained that those issues are for their management to resolve.
This Sunday, Coventry City will host Wrexham, where they will be officially presented with the Championship trophy. While Chelsea continues under interim manager Calum Macfarlane, Lampard’s statement reaffirms his loyalty to the Coventry City project.
