European Football Clubs Suffered Record Losses Last Season

Financial reports released for the 2024/25 European football season have revealed serious issues in the industry and staggering losses for many leading clubs, as reported by Zamin.uz. The English Premier League, widely regarded as the strongest league in the world, ranks first in terms of negative indicators.
The league's twenty clubs collectively lost more than one billion dollars, with the majority of this attributed to London's Chelsea. This club leads the list with a record deficit of 346 million dollars, according to information from auto.mail.ru.
Financial conditions vary among other famous European teams. Italy's Inter Milan recorded the best result with a net profit of 96 million dollars, while Spain's Real Madrid and Barcelona also achieved positive figures.
Specifically, the Madrid side reported a profit of 85 million dollars, and the Catalans earned 81 million dollars. Germany's Bayern Munich ended the season with a positive balance of 48 million dollars, and England's Manchester City with 3 million dollars.
At the same time, several major clubs faced significant financial losses. For instance, Manchester United suffered a loss of 24 million dollars, while France's PSG lost 42 million dollars.
Experts note that maintaining financial balance is becoming increasingly difficult even in the highest-earning leagues. Chelsea's figures are being evaluated as a worrying record not only for England but for the entire history of football.
This situation highlights the growing gap between expenditures and revenues in modern football.
