After the match between "Surxon" and "Neftchi" (0:0) in the 12th round of the Super League, the coach of the Fergana team, Vitaliy Levchenko, evaluated his team's performance at the press conference.
— To win in such matches, first of all, you need to score a goal. In the first half, we created two clear opportunities. If we had taken advantage of those situations, the result would have been completely different. I have no complaints about the boys' efforts; everyone worked hard. However, in football, passion alone is not enough; skill is also needed. The score on the board says it all, — said the coach.
Fans' complaints and choice of attack line
During the press conference, Levchenko was also asked about the dissatisfaction expressed by fans after the match:
— Honestly, I did not witness the situation myself. But we will definitely look into it. If the fans had any grievances, we will communicate with them. The team went out to win, but no goals were scored — it is understandable for the fans.
Marushich or Tabatadze? Who was effective in attack?
— Why do you not consider Marushich a full-fledged forward? He also played as a central striker. Of course, Tabatadze might have looked better coming on at the end of the game due to physical superiority. The defenders were tired after two halves. However, the fact is that none of our forwards could score a goal. This is the biggest problem.
Why did Begamov leave?
— The issue of Shahboz Begamov is a decision of the management. I can't say anything about it, — the coach said briefly.
Although the Fergana team started the season well, failures have increased in the following rounds. According to the coach, the team is performing well, but skill and potential are lacking for results. This situation needs to change in the upcoming rounds; otherwise, "Neftchi" may fall behind in the fight for the top positions.
