"Roma" entered the final stage of negotiations on the transfer of Mason Greenwood

Italian club Roma is entering the decisive stage of negotiations for the transfer of Mason Greenwood, aiming to strengthen their attacking line. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Roman leadership has identified this player as a primary target to address issues on the right wing and is seeking to conclude the deal as soon as possible. According to Goal.com, Roma considers the early days of next week as the last opportunity to successfully finalize the process.
Club officials aim to resolve administrative matters quickly, outpacing other competitors—particularly Atlético Madrid—before they make serious moves, in order to secure the agreement. Initially, Roma had considered several candidates for the right wing, including West Ham attacker Crysencio Summerville.
However, due to the player’s high price and strong competition, Roma has redirected its focus back to Mason Greenwood. Currently, the price Marseille is asking for the player has dropped below fifty million euros, further increasing Roma’s interest.
This situation creates more favorable financial conditions for the Italian club. According to reports, Turkey’s Fenerbahçe has offered the player an annual salary of seven million euros, providing the best financial terms.
Roma, meanwhile, is offering five million euros, but since the Turkish club has not yet reached an agreement with Marseille regarding the transfer fee, the opportunity remains open for the Italian side. Roma’s biggest concern is a potential move by Atlético Madrid.
Although Madrid is currently occupied with Julián Álvarez’s transfer, if that deal falls through or they lose other attackers, they could quickly return to the Greenwood option. The Spanish club views him as a suitable candidate to fill the gap in their attacking line.
Italian media emphasizes that Roma will exhaust all possibilities next week. If the club’s leadership does not act swiftly, the player’s rising price and his performance in the French championship could attract other major clubs.
For Roma, this transfer is not only about strengthening the squad but also about demonstrating the team’s high ambitions ahead of the new season. The fate of this deal now depends on concrete steps expected to be taken in the coming days.
