Former Zenit player Aleksey Igonin commented on the departure of Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic from the Moscow Central Sports Club (CSKA). This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Igonin, Pjanic's departure from CSKA will not be a significant change for Russian football. A new season is starting, and people will forget about his departure, he said in an interview with the "Championat" publication. The 35-year-old midfielder played for CSKA during the 2024/2025 season.
He appeared in 16 Premier League matches, providing two assists and receiving four yellow cards. Together with Miralem Pjanic, CSKA won the Russian Cup and received bronze medals in the Russian Premier League.
Although his contribution to the team was significant, new players and new results are expected in the new season. Russian football is constantly evolving, and each season is enriched with new events.
The former player believes that Pjanic's departure opens up new opportunities for the team.
