PSG financially assisted the Lyon club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In the last week, due to financial irregularities, the Lyon club was relegated from France's first league to the second league. According to RMC Sport, the Paris team made an advance payment to the Lyon club for the transfer of Bradley Barcola.
The total amount is 45 million euros. According to the previous plan, payments for the player were supposed to be settled over several years, but PSG decided to pay the entire amount at once.
This allowed the Lyon club to improve its financial indicators, helped to rectify the accounts, and possibly increased the chances of staying in the first league. Last season, Lyon finished sixth in the French first league and qualified for European competitions.
In the Europa League, they reached the quarter-finals. However, due to financial irregularities, the club was relegated to the second league.
This situation signifies important changes for the club and may seriously impact its future activities
