Andrey Arshavin, a member of the Zenit management board, commented on Nair Tiknizyan. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Recently, the player transferred from Lokomotiv to Crvena Zvezda. A three-year labor contract has been signed with Tiknizyan at the Serbian club.
According to Arshavin, Tiknizyan was previously close to Zenit, with not much difference in salary, but that is now a thing of the past. He stated that Lokomotiv did not want to keep Tiknizyan in Russia, as rival clubs could have added him to their ranks.
Arshavin also mentioned that it was beneficial for Lokomotiv to let Tiknizyan go to another country's club and expressed that the player has always aimed for Europe. Crvena Zvezda is the champion of Serbia.
The team will begin its journey from the second qualifying round to secure a spot in the Champions League. This transfer is expected to take the player's career to a new level, and he is eager to prove himself in his new team.
