Barcelona is continuing its efforts to transfer Nico Williams from Athletic Club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Catalan club has reached an agreement with the 22-year-old player regarding the contract duration and salary. However, the negotiation process has currently stalled. According to Mundo Deportivo, Williams is demanding clear and solid guarantees for his registration from Barcelona through his agent.
The player does not want to repeat the difficulties faced during the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. The Catalans encountered significant problems in registering these players. Barcelona has assured Williams that it will ensure the successful completion of his registration.
However, the player does not consider this sufficient and is asking for more reliable guarantees. Therefore, this position is deemed unsatisfactory for the Catalan club.
During the negotiations, both parties continue to defend their interests. This transfer process is still not finalized, and it will become clear in the coming days what decision will be made.
