Famous coach Stanislav Cherchesov commented on the draw process of the Russian Cup competition. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the draw process was not broadcast live and was conducted without club representatives. After that, the capital's "Dinamo" team expressed dissatisfaction with this situation. Cherchesov stated that if the competition rules do not stipulate that the draw process must be shown live or that club representatives must participate, there is no basis to criticize the Russian Football Union.
He also does not believe that there was any manipulation during the process. The coach said: "How do you imagine this? If the drawn ball is incorrect, do we put it back and redraw?
Organizers, representatives of the Russian Football Union, football legends, and technical specialists participate in the process, and everything is recorded. Such a situation is impossible and illogical," said Cherchesov. Currently, the reigning champion of the Russian Cup is the CSKA team from Moscow.
In the superfinal of the last season, they defeated the "Rostov" team in a penalty shootout.
