Spanish Formula-1 champion Fernando Alonso answered a question about his favorite football players. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Like many other Formula-1 drivers, Alonso loves football and is always ready to participate in various friendly and exhibition matches. According to him, since childhood, he has been going to the stadium with his parents to watch football matches, especially following Roberto Carlos and Viktor Onopko. Alonso grew up in the city of Oviedo, where Viktor Onopko played.
Onopko was recognized several times as Russia's best football player in the early 1990s and played for the Spartak team. In 1994, he moved to Oviedo and later became the club captain.
At that time, Alonso was also achieving his first major successes in motorsport. Thus, Alonso emphasizes that he is not only interested in motorcycle and car racing but is also a big fan of football.
He enhances his physical and mental preparation by actively participating in various forms of sports. For Alonso, football is not just a game but also plays an important role in understanding teamwork and strategy.
