In the context of the development of Uzbekistan football, the president of the Russian Premier League, Alexander Alayev, expressed his opinion on the initiative to increase the number of teams participating in the national championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, this issue has become difficult to implement under the current circumstances. Shamil Gazizov, a representative of the Makhachkala "Dinamo" club, noted that this issue was discussed at the RPL members' meeting on Tuesday, but currently, it is not possible to implement it.
The Moscow "Torpedo" club is facing problems related to a former team member who attempted to exert pressure on the referees. Alayev mentioned that he knows the KDK leaders well and that they will make their decision when important evidence comes forward. For now, the issue of increasing the number of championship participants is not appropriate.
Previously, CSKA's general director Roman Babaev had expressed his opinion on reducing the number of RPL participants. There are various opinions regarding the number of participants aimed at improving the quality and competitiveness of the national championship, and more specific and justified decisions are expected to be made in this regard.
