Former player of the former capital's Dinamo team, Yevgeny Kharlačev, expressed his views on coach Valery Karpin holding two positions at the same time. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the coach should primarily focus more on the national team and should not be distracted by club work. Currently, the national team is not in high demand on the international stage, so there is an opportunity to work in both places for now, Kharlačev said in an interview with Rb Sport.
Valery Karpin has been managing the Russian national team since 2021. Last month, he signed a three-season contract and was appointed as the head coach of Moscow's Dinamo team.
Previously, he had managed the "Rostov" team for a long time and left this team at the beginning of the year. Karpin's simultaneous holding of two positions could create difficulties in the coaching system, but it is also noteworthy that such an opportunity exists under the current circumstances.
As the situation of the national team improves on the international stage, the coach's priority tasks may also change. Nevertheless, experts believe that focusing fully on one team is more effective.
