Midfielder Paul Pogba has signed a two-year contract with Monaco and is preparing to return to the field. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
However, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Pogba in action again. This was announced by Monaco's general director Thiago Scuro.
According to Scuro, Pogba will not take the field in the first round match against Havre. He emphasized the need to be realistic.
The club expects improvements in the player's condition within three months. High-level sports are largely based on science, and this process is not simple.
Monaco is one of the most active teams in Ligue 1, and their game requires good physical preparation from the players. Scuro also stated that it is difficult to expect Pogba to take the field before the beginning of October.
The 32-year-old player will recently go through a gradual increase in load during training. The ban imposed on Pogba for violating anti-doping rules has expired in March.
Paul Pogba last took the field in an official match on September 3, 2023.
