Former head coach of several teams in the Russian Premier League, Aleksandr Grigoryan, considers the punishment given to "Sochi" striker Vladimir Pisarskiy for betting on a game involving his team to be very lenient. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Pisarskiy got off very easily from this situation, as his punishment is not strict enough. It should be noted that Pisarskiy was banned from football activities for four years, but three years were given conditionally.
In an interview with "Match TV," Grigoryan emphasized that in such cases, the punishment should be much harsher. In his opinion, participating in such games is harmful and the consequences should be severe.
According to the investigation results, Pisarskiy sent four million rubles to a friend, who then placed a bet on the victory of the "Pari NN" team in the playoff game against "Sochi." During the game, Pisarskiy left the field in the 35th minute, which helped secure the victory for the opposing team.
However, after the betting company learned about the details of the bet, it refused to pay out the winnings and reported it to the Russian Football Union. This situation once again reminds us of the importance of integrity and fairness in sports.
As an athlete, it is essential to understand your responsibilities and uphold the honor of the game. Disregarding laws and regulations not only negatively affects personal performance but also harms the entire team.
Therefore, strict measures must be taken against such situations.
