The resolution of the situation may take a long time. The Secretary General of the Russian Football Union, Maxim Mitrofanov, commented on when this issue might be resolved.
"No one knows for sure. The incident is not only unique but was initially incorrect.
We want the issue to be resolved before the start of the season. If the decision is made after the start of the season, it means the Torpedo team will lose its professional status," Mitrofanov said to Sport-Express.
Last season, Torpedo finished second in the Melbet First League competition and returned to the Russian Premier League. In the first round, the car factory team will play against CSKA.
